Miss Ava

Miss Ava founded The Original Curiosity Camp on June 14, 1993. As “the Science Lady”,  she has taught over 200,000 children in more than 100 schools in the Charlotte area. She has recently come back to her home in southside Virginia where she hopes to establish her business near Alberta, Virginia so children ages 5 – 10 can come to participate in the following programs:

• Summer Camps
• Workshops
• Day Fairs
• Game Nights
• Birthday Parties
• Afterschool Program
• Field Trips

All of these services feature hands on science activities including a make & take. Supplies are affordable and easy to find at your local grocery story, Walmart, or Home Depot.

Miss Ava has three products for purchase on this website including:

• DIY Science lessons ideal for homeschoolers. All lessons are aligned with the National Science Education Standards.
• Jr. Scientist Dvd featuring three of “The Science Lady’s” hands on science programs including Fossil Fun, Ooze, Glop, & Slime and Stomp Rockets.
• Season of Joy: Forty Days of Blessings is a collection of inspirational stories about the many blessings that poured out on her  and her family during a season………exactly 40 days.
